Engaging in mock interviews with alumni can help building confidence in your abilities while also creating an opportunity for networking and relationship building. The alumni Mentor Program begins and ends in alignment with the on-campus academic calendar, with mentors and mentees matched in July.

One way to give back to the program and its students is by serving as a “virtual” mock interviewer. Interviewing is a skill. Providing an MPA student with the opportunity to practice and gain your feedback is invaluable to helping MPA students become employees of choice. Mock interviewing is a confidence building activity, a networking opportunity, and a powerful way for you to contribute to the advancement of an MPA student. Mock interviews will occur intermittently over the course of the year, as well as an assignment for all students during their PUBA 723 Human Resources Management course.
