The North Carolina City and County Management Association (NCCCMA) is the professional association for city and county managers and assistant managers from the State of North Carolina. One of their primary purposes is to improve the quality of local government. The association, in conjunction with the School of Government, holds an annual winter conference in February.
MPA students are encouraged to attend the conference, including the MPA alumni breakfast. The conference is an excellent opportunity for students seeking government positions to make contacts that could lead to internships and career opportunities. For students seeking nonprofit positions, the conference provides a way to meet local government managers with whom they might be working with in the future.
Each year in December you’ll receive an email with information on how to register to attend the conference. Keep an eye out for the email and more information!
If you have questions about NCCCMA Alumni Breakfast or conference student registration,
please contact Allison Binkley, Associate Director of Career Services & Professional Development.
