The military affiliated students receiving their education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are a vital component of our campus community. We recognize their sacrifices and value their life experiences as they enhance the diversity of our student body. The MPA Program is committed to ensuring that our military and veteran student population feel support as they transition into academia.
The MPA staff are Green Zone certified. Green Zone training enhances our ability to better understand the issues and concerns faced by military and veteran students. The MPA Program is proud to offer an elective on Military Leadership and Public Service taught by Charles Szypszak, captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. The MPA Program is also a founding member of the Volcker Alliance’s Service to Service initiative.
This page has been developed to highlight a number of resources offered around campus. Whether you are a new student who has completed your service, a student who interrupted your education to serve and are now returning, or a student who began your studies elsewhere and are transferring here, we will help guide you to the resources you need to make the most of your Carolina experience. Please feel free to contact your academic advisor with questions about military and veteran resources.
